Mistake #4 – Forgetting To Checking Floors For Hazards
Inspect your floors closely for any small objects like your shoes, string, paper clips or rubber bands that a puppy might try to nibble. These are choking hazards, so get them off your floor! Picture what would happen if your dog’s tail accidentally hit that lamp on your end table.
Would it crash onto his head? Would your puppy’s paws be able to reach your display of knickknacks and smash them to bits? Be sure to either secure unsteady furniture and breakable items so that they are not a danger to your new dog, or move them to a place where they will not be an issue.
